Ben Nuckels
Ben Nuckels?serves as Senior Vice President at Joe Slade White and Company, and is a veteran of local, state, national, and international?campaigns. He was named a ?Rising Star? of politics by Campaigns and Elections Magazine in 2011.
As part of the Joe Slade White team, Nuckels recently helped elect long-shot write-in candidate Mike Duggan Mayor of Detroit and he helped defeat David Beckham?s Miami soccer stadium proposal. Nuckels helped elect Maggie Hassan Governor of New Hampshire, re-elect Congresswoman Betty McCollum and Congresswoman Niki Tsongas, and worked on successful independent expenditure campaigns and ballot initiatives throughout the country.
Prior to joining Joe Slade White & Company, Nuckels was the Campaign Manager to Illinois Governor Pat Quinn?s hard fought victory, that RealClearPolitics.com called one of the top upsets in the country.
Nuckels has been a featured strategist in POLITICO?s Arena and a contributor to Campaigns & Elections Magazine. He served as Chief of Staff to Wisconsin Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton after managing her successful re-election campaign in 2006. He has also worked as the Midwest Campaigns Director for the League of Conservation Voters, a consultant to Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle, and staff to former presidential candidate Vermont Governor Howard Dean.
Nuckels currently lives in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin with his wife and three daughters.
